The one of the major difference between the magnetic and electric field is that the electric field induces around the static charge particle which is either negative or positive, whereas the magnetic field produces around the poles (i.e., the north and south pole) of the magnet.

anelectriccharge experiences a force in amagnetic fieldonly if it is moving. ... In anelectric field, the force vector is in thesamedirection as theelectric fieldlines
When a charge is moving, it does not only have anelectric field, but amagnetic fieldas well. This is whyelectric and magnetic fieldsare always associated with eachother. ... The charges that move in the same direction produce anelectriccurrent. As was earlier mentioned, moving charges create amagneticforce.
