Cold weld is a process which refers to join (a piece of metal) to another without the use of heat, by forcing them together so hard that the surface oxide films are disrupted and adhesion occurs.
IT IS ALSO CALLED AS CONTACT WELDING , AND ITS BESICALLY A SOLID STATE WELDING .
THE JOINING TAKE PLACE WITHOUT HEATING THE INTERFACE BETWEEN TWO METAL THAT NEED TO BE JOINED .
UNLIKE A FUSION WELDING PROCESS , NO MOLTEN MATERIAL IS REQUIRED HERE .
