The car is not accelerated by internal forces but rather by external forces exerted on it by the road. The external force which is exerted on the car will give the momentum to the car through the tires. The engine of the car converts the electrical energy which is stored in the battery to its kinetic energy. Thus the car will supply its own internal energy through engine. Therefore the internal energy which will come from the inside of the car will see in the kinetic energy of the car.
