Two seconds after projection, a projectile is travelling in a direction inclined at 30° to the horizontal. After one more second it is travelling horizontally. Find the velocity of projection of the particle.(take g=10 m/s)

2 s before when it is projected at an angle a with u velocity (let) then,

Vx = ucosa...............(1)

Vy = usina – g*2............(2) {at t =2}

2 s after,

Vx = vcos30..................(3)

Vy = vsin30..................(4)

From all the three eqns. equate,

and the relations

but we have three variables thus we need one more eqn.

It is given after 3 s it is horizontal.

thus,

Vx = u

and

Vy = -g*3

now u can calulate further.

Three identical balls are placed on a frictionless horizontal surface touching each other. They stick to each other because of adhesive. Another ball of same radius and mass m is placed over the void created by the three balls. Find the forces applied by the balls kept on the floor to each other if the system remains in equilibrium.
