Two particles of mass m each are fixed at the opposite ends of a masselss rod of length 5m which is orientation vertically on a smooth horizontal surface and released. Find the displacement of the lower mass on the ground when the rod makes an angle 37° with the vertical

the initial and final positions make an right angle triangle if drawn.
the hypotenuse is 5/2 m i.e half the length of the rod.
the displacement is the perpendicular of this right triangle.
that is sin\Theta *5/2 that is 5/2*3/5=3/2 m.
3/2 i.e. 1.5m
