Let the acceleration of object Q is A km/h2.
Time taken in hour by obejct P to cover 20 Km
Applying second equation of motion
20 = 0 + ½(40)(t)2
t = 1h
object Q start 30 min later so it has time of ½ h only. Then
20 = 0 + ½(A)(1/2)2
So A = 160 Km/h2.
