Flag Mechanics> Three blocks A, B and C of mass 1kg, 2kg ...
question mark

Three blocks A, B and C of mass 1kg, 2kg and 6kg respectively are placed in contact with each other, on a horizontal smooth surface, as shown in the figure. A force 24 N is applied horizontally on the block C, toward right. A force F is applied horizontally on the block A, toward right. If the normal contact force between the block B and C is zero, the value of F will be(A) 4 N (B) 6 N (C) 10 N (D) 12 N

The acceleratioon of C is 24/6 = 4
hence accwleration of a and b is also 4

a=4= F/(1+2)
so F equals 12

12 N (D)
Let N2 the normal btw A and B
Now acc. Of the system (24+F)/9
N2+F = (24 +F) /9.......eqn 1
-N2 = 2(24+F)/9....eqn.2
Put value of N2 in equation 1 from N2
Then we get F = 12N
