Area of the graph for first 2 seconds = 4 x 2 = 8
Area of the graph for next 1 second = (-2) x 1 = -2
Area of the graph for last 3 seconds = 2 x 3 = 6
Displacement of the body = Area under the velocity-time graph
Displacement = 8 – 2 + 6 = 12
Distance travelled = Sum of mod of all the areas = 8 + 2 + 6 = 16
