The given eqn is dimensionally incorrect since on expanding the eqn we get v = kt-k here dimensions of kt is ML^-1 and k with dimensions ML^-2 is being subtracted from it, which violates the rule that only dimensionally similar quantities can be added or subtracted. hope this helps. :)
