the pressure at the bottom would be same due to both the limbs.
Hence pressure at bottom => pw*(h-x)*g + pm*g*(x) = p*mg*(h+y)
=> pwgh – pwgx + pmgx = pmgh + pmgy
=> y = (pw*(h-x)*g + pm*g*(x) – pmgh)/(pmg)
is the answer.
