Integrate x with respect to t from 0 to 2 s.Distance will be 4/3 unit.Since it doesn`t allow here to post solution in the form of pic. So you may proceed like I stated.

You are wrong this method  is  applied when direction is not charged  but in this  question  differentiate  it and put 0 in velocity you will get. 5 seconds  now  distance =/(x(0) - x(. 5)/ +/(x(0) - x(2)/  you will get 2.5m ans

I did as you say. But I got the answer 3.5 instead of 2.5. By  putting value of v=0 I got t=0.5s and got 1.25 b which I multiplied with 2 and got 2.5. But for t=2 displacement was -1. So I added 1 and my answer was 3.5. Did I make a mistake in my procedure?
