The following statement is true; explain it . Two teams are having a tug of war; the team that pushes harder (horizon-tally) against the ground wins.
The force acting on the rope by both the team will be equal. Both the forces that are acting on the rope by the two team is equal and in opposite direction in accordance with Newton’s third law of motion. Therefore, they are cancelling each other despite that there is a winning team. There is a horizontal force which is exerted by each member of the team as they push to the ground. The team that pushes harder against the ground will have greater horizontal force and they will have greater net force. Thus, the team which pushes harder against the ground will win the tug of war.
