Some water beetles can walk on water. Estimate the maximum weight such an insect can have and still be supported in this way.

There are six legs in a single beetle. When the beetle walks on water, its weight is supported by the force due to the surface tension of the water.
Consider one such leg on water. The various forces acting on the single leg of the beetle is shown below:
