sir please help me with its solution. itsa question from jee advancesample paper

hi,
initial velocity=V0 and angular velocity=w0=vo/2r
frictional force f= -0.5 mg
=ma= -mg*0.5     so,a= -0.5g
now, let pure rolling start at time t
case 1:linear velocity
          v=u+a*t
          v=vo -0.5g*t
torque=I *alpha (angular acceleration)
f*R= I*alpha     so,alpha=F*R/I=5g/4R
 
case 2:angular velocity
          w=w0+alpha*t
          w=v0/2r+ 4R*t/5g
             
for rolling,
V=W*R
as answer is 2v0/7g   so,i think this process is sure but only if the initial velocity is 0.  otherwise answer is not in the options
