Dear student 
A.C. generator has slip rings while D.C. generator has a commutator.
A.C. generator has slip rings, whereas D.C. generator has a commutator.

Dear Student,
AC Generator is a mechanical device which converts mechanical energy into AC electrical ppower .
DC Generator is a mechanical device which converts mechanical energy into DC electrical ppower .
In an AC generator the electrical current reverses direction periodically.
