Sir,if a body is thrown vertically upward with some speed then why we consider its initial velocity as zero

As given statement word thrown is used so we can not neglect initial velocity.If word like dropped and released come sthen we use zero initial velocity.Hope it clears.

When we throw something upwards., we need some force do work agsinst gravity. So when anything  is thrown  upwards its velocity can not be zero.

Easy ,the speed from which u throw is not initial velocity,since body was in rest in initial position it is true to say it's initial velocity zero ,isn't it??

In case of freely falling body initial velocity is zero but not in vertically projected body....we have to consider initial velocity of vertically projected body...hope it's clear

If a body is thrown vertically upward, its initial velocity is never zero.  That is the final velocity which we take zero in this case.  Because after reaching a certain height the body is momentarily at rest and then comes back downwards.
