if it is in board then you should use equation of motion.
otherwise for competitive purpose, you can choose anyone

i would recommend using calculus (offcourse not in boards) because
:-it will save your time
:-there will be more accuracy
:-there will be no or less doubt on ur answer
:-formulas have terms and conditions for application
