Acceleration is given only in x component so velocity will change in x component and velocity in y component will not be change so final velocity at x component
v = u+at
v = 8+2t m/s
velocity in y component - 15 m/s
So net velocity in xy plane = (8+2t)i^ - 15j^ m/s
