```							Just to visualise imagine holding a Dumbell in your palm, this is the system.  And a line passing perpendicularly through COM of this dumbell into your palm, this would be the axis. And dumbell will rotate in the plane of your palm only. The two ends are having masses M1 and M2 and we have to find MOI about COM of the system.First find COM of the system by formula (M1X1 + M2X2) / M1+ M2 , from any one end. Then apply MOI formula for point mass   and add up for both masses   I = M1 R12+ M2 R22  , R1 and R2 being the distance of the masses from their COM. Option A is correct.
