Let the frictional force acting between each blocka and plank bef.

From free body diagram of plank,

F-2f=Ma

From free body diagram of each block,

f=ma

\implies a=\dfrac{F}{2m+M}=\dfrac{34}{12}m/s^2=\dfrac{17}{6}m/s^2
\implies f=ma=\dfrac{17}{3}N

But the maximum static friction possible isf_s=\mu N=0.2\times 2\times 10N=4N
Hence , the two blocks slip over the plank.

Hence frictional force=4N
