  • apply linear momentum of conservation in direction parllel to the inclined surface
  • mv0cosa=mv1sina+MVcosa
  • =since (M=2m)
  • v0cosa=v1sina+2Vcosa
  • v1=(v0-2V)cota              (eq=1)
apply linear conservation of momentum direction perpendicular to inclined suface
  • mv0sina=MVsina-mv1cosa
  • v0sina=2Vsina-v1cosa
  • v1=(2V-v0)tana             (eq=2)
from eq 1 and 2
  • v0=2V
  • and therefore  v1=0 from eq 2
it means the partical doesn’t go upward after collision 
hence two impacts occur at the same time
so the time taken between them is 0 sec
