Here the final velocity of each bullet is zero and the acceleration acting upon each is `-g` thus applying, v^2 =u^2 +2as we get s=u^2/2g thus maximum area is equal to the area formed by the circle of radius `s` hence maximum area=pi(u^2/2g)^2
