Hi,
for 0 to 1 sec, a = 2 m/s2, s1= 0.5*2*12= 1 m
for 1 to 2 sec, a = 0, v1= 2*1 = 2m/s, s2= 2*1 = 2m
for 2 to 3 sec. a =-2, v2= v1= 2m/s, s3= 2*1 + 0.5*-2*12= 1 m
therefore, total distance travelled = 1+2+1 = 4m
