Comparing with the first kinematical equation we get u=0.
Now,
 s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2
u=0 and t=4
 
\therefore s=0+\frac{1}{2}a(4^2)
\therefore s=8a
 
This is the displacement equation
As the motion of the particle is not given in vector form, we assume speed instead of velocity. As a result the above equation gives distance as well as displacement
