The path of the particle will be

(gx-ay)^2=2(u_yx-u_xy)(au_y-gu_x)

It’s the general equation of a curve in 2D plane and can be drawn only in special case.

Two special cases are:
1) a = 0, Parabolic path
2)au_y=gu_x, Straight line path
