In the figure shown coeff of static friction b/w c and ground is0.5,coeff of static friction b/w a and b is0.25 , b/w b and c is zero. Find the minimum value of force F to cause sliding b/w a and b. Masses of a,b,c are 2kg, 4kg, 5kg.

As there is no friction between b and c b can't apply any horizontal force on c and vice versa therefore u can replace c by a frictionless ground
Now normal N on b due to a is 2g
Maximum friction needed is kN
That is 5newton
