In circular motion , N-mgcostheta=mv^2/R
theta is the angle with the vertical
N=0 and v=0 when theta=90
also change in potential= gain in kinetic
so mgR=1/2 *m*u^2
u=root(2gR)

Now applying WE theorem for spring
x(compression in spring) is root(m/k)*root(2gR)
