In river crossing problems why we consider velocity of man wrt water as velocity of man in still water? In river crossing problems why we consider velocity of man wrt water as velocity of man in still water?
@ pratyay it is beacuse of the easy calculation purpose , if we will take the water as moving , then the calculation will be bulky and that effect the value of the velocity of the swimmer also , and also , in most of the ques the velocity in which water is moving , not mentioned , so, in that case for simplicity of calculation we are assuming it as still water . EVEN IN ONE YEAR JEE ADVANCED ASKS THIS QUES AS THAT OF MOVING WATER .. hope it clears your doubt
