If we accelerate at 20 m/s in space it will take us a minimum of 174 days to reach the speed of light.but why it us impossible to do so?

as u get closer to speed of light masss starts to increse thus accelaration also decreases and by the time u reach speed of light the acc reaches 0 even for subatomic particles
