if the density of a rigid body varries with length how will it affect the centre of mass of the body?

Dear student,

The meaning of density varying with ‘length’ is not very clear; but if it means that the density at different points on the rigid body varies as one goes along the length of the body, the center of mass will be closer to the side with higher local density. The more the density increases on the given side, the closer will the center of mass be to that side.
