Consider a small element dx at a distance x from the hinge of dm mass which is having tension let dT.
Hence on balancing for small element we get,
dT = (dm) (wx)^2/x
Now, for mass m length is l
for dm mass length is let dx
then,
dm = mx/l
Hence,
dT = m(w^2 x)dx/l
Integerating both sides from x = x to x = 0 we get,
T = mw^2x^2/2l. N.
