Here is a question from my iit question book.and was a bit confused about the answer.so I am writing the question and options so please anyone can explain me each step please. Q)the coordinate of a moving particle at anytime 't' are given by x=at³and y=bt³.the speed of the particle at time t is given by. 1) 3t√a²+b²2)3t²√a²+b²3)t²√a²+b²4)√a²+b²

here
x = at3
So x component of velocity
vx = dx/dt =3at2
and
y = bt3
So y component of velocity is
vy = dy/dt = 3bt2
Then speed of particle will be
v = \sqrt{v_{x}^{2} + v_{y}^{2}}
Then v = 3t^{2}\sqrt{a^{2} + b^{2}}
Hope it clears. If you like answer then please approve it.
