Answer: 21.33 m/s. Average speed is defined as the total distance travelled/ total time taken. In this case, Harry Potter has traveled 2km in total. The problem is to find the total time taken. We know that time = distance / speed (PROVIDED SPEED IS CONSTANT -> AS IN THIS CASE). so time for 1st 1km will be 1/16 seconds and second 1km will be 1/32 seconds. So average speed will be 2/(1/16 + 1/32) = 21.33 m/s.

In viewing through a magnifying glass, one usually positions one's eyes very close to the lens. Does angular magnification change if the eye is moved back?
