question mark

From a uniform circular disc of radius 2cm (its centre of mass is at O). A circular portion of radius 1cm is removed such that shift in centre of mass is maximum. The disc is now rotated about 'O' perpendicular to the plane through angle 'theta' then the magnitude of displacement of new centre of mass is (1/√3)cm then 'theta' is

First, we'll figure out two circles.
Get the new centre of mass shift which is the maximum. After substituting the values given ,the distance of center of mass is found to be 1/3 cm. As given it is rotated by an angle (alpha), take the displacement of the particle and join the points to get a triangle. Divide it  into two equal parts , and using trigonometry the angle was found to be 120 degrees.
