```							In this problem, you must analyse the forces on the block.Understand that the block will move towards left. Firstly, the force that you would apply shall be such that the other end of the string remains taut. Therefore, the tension in the part of the string attached to the wall, say is, F (equal to the applied horizontal force). Therefore, the tension in the the string which is connected to the block should be 2F.Now you are done. The force acting on the block is 2F and acceleration is 10cms-2 = 0.1 ms-2Therefore,2F= 0.1 x 1000F= 100/2= 50N.
