We cannot remove the filter paper from the funnel by blowing air into the end due to the lower pressure developed at the narrow end.
When we blow air into the narrow end of the funnel, the speed of the air near to it increases. According to Bernoulli’s equation, the speed will increase if the pressure of the fluid flow decreases and the converse. Thus, the pressure at the narrow end of the funnel will decrease and is lesser than at the other end of the funnel. Therefore, the filter paper from the funnel cannot be removed by blowing into the narrow end.
