```							Since Diagram is not possible to attach here in the answer and though it is not necessary required just give a glance to the derivation,Derivation =>Force exerted by spring is given as = – kx where k is the spring constant and x is the expansion or contraction.and -ve sign is because the spring force always acts oppsoite the displacement.Energy = dW = Fdx = > -kx dx Integerating both sides we get,W = -k (x^/2) {limit from 0 to x )we get final potential energy stored in the spring as :W = ½ (kx^2)
