Assume the cylinder have to velocity components one is vx in the horizontal direction and other is vy in the vertical direction.
Considering the contact relation of first wedge and cylinder we say that vx =2u
tan30°=vy/3u
vy=1/√3×3u=√3u
Vnet =√7u.
