Considering the surface is frictionless,why it is considered that the last block is pulled by tension T.Shouldn't the tension act in opposite direction and therefore the tension should not be responsible for pulling the last block.

Dear student,

Tension is, though an adjusting force, but always a pulling force. Try to imagine, you can never push an object using a rope, right?
