Consider a system of particles of two identical particles. One of the particles is at rest and the other has an acceleration f. The centre of mass has an acceleration. 1) 0. 2)f. 3)f/2. 4) 2f. I also want to know when does the centre of mass become f, 0 , 2f and f/2

acom = (m*0 +m*f)/2m = > f/2 m/s^2.
now take the accleration of other particle as f’ and find it by putting it equal to options wise and get the change in f’ that is the accln. of the second particle.
