Yes, we can sink an iron ship by siphoning sea water into it.
According to Archimedes principle, if the density of the object immersed in a fluid is greater than the density of the fluid, then the object will sink in the fluid. If the density of the object is lesser than the density of the fluid, then the object will float in the fluid
The density of the empty iron ship is lesser than the density of the seawater. Thus, iron ship will float in the seawater. It is due to the fact that weight of the empty iron ship is lesser that the weight of the seawater displaced by it.
Siphoning seawater into the iron ship will increase the density of the iron ship overall. The iron ship will start sinking the moment when the density of the iron ship becomes greater than the density of seawater. It is due to the fact that overall weight of the iron ship is greater than the weight of the seawater displaced by it.
