Dear student,

At the time it strikes the point C, the displacement in vertical direction

usin\theta t-\dfrac{1}{2}gt^2=y

and the displacement in horizontal direction=(ucos\theta )t=\dfrac{10}{3}+ycot{37^{\circ}}

Solving the two equations to eliminate ‘t’ will give the answer.

Maximum height attained by the particle=\dfrac{u^2sin^2\theta}{2g}
