Blocks A and B are connected by a bar of negligible weight. If mass of A and B are 170kg each and coefficient of limiting friction between blocks and plane are 0.2 and 0.4 for A and B. Calculate the force in the bar.

We first calculate the net force downwards that is 
   m(A)gsin*theta* + m(B)gsin*theta*
     Which is 1600N
Then calculate total limiting friction 
That is  m(A)gcos*theta*(0.2) + m(B)gcos*theta*(0.4)  =  900 then calculate the net acceleration of the system 
       (1600-900)/170+170 = 700/340 m/s^2
         After this draw FBD of block A and balance it 
By.        m(A)gsin*theta*   -   T(tension in bar)  = m(A)*acceleration of the system 
  Your answer would be 
   T= 150 N
