The acceleration which is gained by an object because of gravitational force is called its acceleration due to gravity. ... The acceleration due to gravity at the surface of Earth is represented by the letter g. It has a standard value defined as 9.80665 m/s2.

Dear Student,

The acceleration felt by an object, as opposed to the coordinate acceleration. For example the acceleration of an object at the surface of the Earth is 9.81 m/s^2 upwards, but has no coordinate acceleration. The proper acceleration of an object is Lorentz invariant.

Acceleration is simply the rate of change of velocity .
It is simply there is how much change in velocity in a unit time
