Initially 2kx =mgCase 1.Now if both springs are close to mid point Then final force due to remaining spring =kx=mg/2=> mg - mg/2 = ma => a =g/2If both springs are at end point..And released Acceleration will be the same.. but we have to right equation for torque about centre of mass of rodKx(l/2)= ml^2/12× angular accl..And kx=mg/2=>Angular accl.. =3g/lSo net accl is..L×angular accl. - accl of com Which is againg/2
