A small tennis ball rolls horizontally with speed Vo off the top of a platform 2.75 m tall and feels no appreciable air resistance as shown in Figure 2. On the level ground, 2.00 m from the base of the platform, there is a gaping hole in the ground. 6. What will be the minimum speeds,Vo required of the tennis ball to land in the hole? A. 4.27 m/s B. 3.62 m/s C. 5.12 m/s D. 2.67 m/s 7. Calculate the maximum speed, Vo the tennis ball needs to have in order to enter the hole? A. 9.12 m/s B. 7.62 m/s C. 4.67 m/s D. 5.29 m/s

Dear student
There is no vertical component of velocity
h = 2.75 meter
Horizontal distance = V0t
h = 1/2gt^2
t = sqrt (2h/g)
Vo = x/t
Since the hole is 2m away
Lower bound of Vo = 2*sqrt(9.8/2*2.75) = 2.67 m/sec
So, upper bound will depend on the size of hole
