A rod of mass M and length l is held horizontally when it is released .The angular velocity of the rod at an instant it is making an angle of 45 with horizontal is(please explain how to find h i.e. decrease in height in this case)

Apply work energy theorem ..mgh =change in kinetic energy. Inetial velocity is 0 and let final velocity is V.. for h, use cos45°=h/L so h=L divide by root 2. Now u can find out final velocity.. apply omega equal to velocity divide by length of rod.
