uppose the underlying speed of the plane is 100km/h 100km/h in the upward heading (in the 2-D plane of this advanced screen). 
After the plane finishes a large portion of a circle, it will point downwards. However, it will in any case have a similar speed of 100km/h100km/h. You can likewise call this −100km/h−100km/h in the upward course. 
In this way, the adjustment in speed is equivalent to the underlying speed subtracted from the last speed. 
Change in speed = −100km/h−100km/h−100km/h−100km/h in the upward heading. 
Change in speed = −200km/h−200km/h in the upward heading.
