a particle starts from rest with uniform acceleration 2m/s^2. the accelaration of the particle decreases down to zero uniformly during a time interval of 4 seconds. the distance travelled by the particle in 4secods is?

Initialy, the object has speed zero and acceleration two m/s^2 and after 4 seconds the acceleration is zero m/s^2. Now we draw acceleration versus time graph. The equation of the graph line will be
a=2-t/2
Now if we integrate acceleration with respect to time we will get velocity. Integrate (2-t/2) with from limit 0 to 2(because we need velocity at 2 seconds). After integrating we get
2t-t^2/2 and when we put limit, the answer is 3m/s.
