Initial velocity. u=-50m/s.  (Taking downward direction as positive) 
Displacement. s=120m
Acceleration. g=10m/s^2
s=ut+1/2at^2
120=-50t+1/2*10t^2
On simplifying 
t^2-10t-24=0
Solving
t=12s (need not consider other soln which is -2)
